Most confusing last working day mail i ever seen. Never dared to read it till end

Look at the way the mail starrts and in between you might ask "me kaun hu , kaha hu"... Because the mail has such an effect on readers..

Caution to readers: read at your own risk.... :-)

This mail is composed by a uncle looking crazy (unfortunately an uvce'ian) on friday 22/10/10
I can understand how happy he must have felt after stepping out of SISO...

least but not the last

Alas!! and atlast. It's been hell of a ride for three long years. I couldnt have written a long story short, so Am writing a short story long.

It all started on the great day of most of our batch mates' freshers life. Fresh out of college, embarking on a journey of life of a software professional. Should it become life of a boring software engineer or boring life of a software engineer, was upto the fate on the same date.

Life is mixed with mixture of all the known emotions. MOst of the things are remembered and more of more of it are often forgotten. But, this is life of multihued surroundings and multitudes of attitudes.

First things first. My first company for my first job, First (taxable)salary(technically speaking, along with the pay slip), first professional induction, training and first mini project.(ofcourse not first love in the comp, luckily to scanty quantity and meager quality and changing policies).
My first major ligament tears. First corporate tournaments. Humdrumns of completing most of the things on last days due to our procrastinating nature. Things work in the ways it has to be and not in the way we want it to be with difference of opinion. Often, with sweet things said in bitter ways, and bitter things sounding sweet sometimes, but this is life agian making it undulating with full of emotional emotions. Yes, ofcourse, there are highs and lows, but this is all natural and change is intrincsic part of it. There were days of joy, days of frustration, of somber mundane tasks, nightouts, team outings, meeting, breaks, incessant talks, chatterings, and yet who can forget the gossips and rumours among the truths. Technically discussions offhand and work at hand kept some busy hours really busy, but time was also made out for tasks other than those assigned. All in all, it's been mix of mixings of mixtures.

I would always remember my first company not just because of technical work, or more technically speaking the pay slips, but because of the bonding developed in this kind of developing atmostphere. Thanks to all you guys(gals, no offence, it was meant in neuter gender) for making it a comforting stay amidst not so comforting times, sometimes. And certainly siso rocks in some ways more than being normal-branding it sometimes, the unique one with more abnormalities and uncertainities amidst irregular regularities.

Thanks to all the guys who knowingly or unknowingly helped me or wanted to help me or atleast had thought of giving a helping hand. Thanks to all those of the office guys, without which , most of the things would have been difficult. Thanks to CA, DA, PA and those related to finance for supporting me financially and for sending regular parments to account even though with our erregular natre of work. Thans to all those whom I have interacted with personally, or professionally thro email or gmail for making it a more memorable experiences throughtout.

Last, but nevertheless least, thanks to all those and sorry for more of most of those, for bearning me by hearning me to my incessant talks where I would have literally tortured an enthusiastic spirit or would have devoured the last remanants of thinking capacity in some of the feeble minded creatures called homos(apiens). And, thanks for bearing all the glib talks with chitters and chatters, and those involving hints of sarcasm and tinge of ravisms.

I would also like to thank my Managers, and superiors, friends, team mates, other team mates, guys and gals, brothers and their sisters, all those who made these 3 and more years interesting for me. Thanks to those who provided me the opportunity for thriving in this place and to make the most out of it. I once again thank all for their generosity and patience shown towards me .
Sorry, taking names would make this a long list with rather long story with too many characters. . So for brevity and conciseness, I belong to CMC-team.
Thanks to all those office boys, admin guys, finance team, HR team and others.

To make this a more interesting one to read: here it goes. (convert, in the para for girl=guy and he= she. for those with difference of opinions)

well, if a girl is not interested, then she certainly isnt interested, if at all she is interested then she porbably will let know of the fact that she is interested.(guys, dont try this while team excercieses) The fact that she is interested is provided by the fact that she too is interested and that her interst in this kind of interest is interesting enough to get guys interest in this interest, and reap the interest that this interest provides in the form of the interest.(Going for snack, or coffee outside of office hours, ofcourse not dutch) However, its well evident that to arouse the interest of the girl, and make her interest get more interesting and turn that fact towards the guys interest so that both the interest matches the fact that both are interested in each others interests, something interesting should happen so that it becomes interesting to them to see the interest in each others interest.(give a complicated bug and put the interested parties involved in that) Well, its not compound interest, as we would have been made to assume now, but its just that its complicated interest, which is made even more complicated by more interesting facts revealed not very often in mundane manner, but with eloquent silence, spoken by eyes that could have met and matched only with the two parties involved.(Statutory Caution : dont break the news of marriage or enagagement in middle of bugs, or debugs)

Note: Please to all those and sorry for not so to please these those. Weekends are ending days of the week where people enjoy or relax, unwind or complete their circle of naps or meeting with the chaps. These need not be devoured in coming to the same old building often visited during the weekdays. S, have the weekends to themselves by not interrupting their privacy or plans or with unnecessay debugs or tests... Given such a scenario, would ask for freedom from fiefdom.

Thank you for being a patient reader reading rather impatiently.

Thanks to all the bigwigs for providing me the opportunity, and those being big but without wigs for making this a comfortable place for staying here all the time(including days and nites), and those with wigs, but not big for making it a lively and enthusiastic environ where ppl thrive and enjoy the niceties(and also coffee, teas) of(in) life

Havent got the signatures on most of the mentioned list. So, lets c if I could set the new record to get it within today and within this evening. 

With Regards,
XXXXXX

Thanks to one and all.

With Regards,
XXXXXX(name changed)

I just want to comment on one last line
"Yes finally I managed to get most of the signature done within record time(less than half an hour)"--->
It is very obvious that everyone would have read mail before you approach them for signature. and they dint want to waste much time in sending you out.. so you got your job done in record time boss..you are very innocent aa....

I hope thier team mates would be relieved after seeing his Final day mail...
I wish him "Get well soon"
ಇದೆಲ್ಲದರ ನಡುವೆ ನಮಗೆ ಮೂಡುವ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ "ಹೀಗೂ ಉಂಟೇ????"

Sir MV

SIR MOKSHAGUNDAM VISVESVARAYA

HALLMARK OF A GENIUS

ON THE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SIR M VISVESVARAYA, TOI LOOKS AT THE MAN AND HIS IMMENSE CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY

It may come as a surprise to many to know that the famed sandalwood soap from Bangalore was also sent to troops in faraway Mesopotamia (largely modern-day Iraq) almost 96 years ago. All possible thanks to the genius of Sir M Visvesvaraya, the then dewan of Mysore.
Visvesvaraya ensured that Bangalore made significant contributions, including the iconic Mysore sandal soap. And, the Indian Institute of Science was the institution privileged to foster his vision.
Science historian B V Subbarayap
pa says Visvesvaraya was deeply interested in the industrialisation of Mysore. “His association with IISc had its impact on applied research at the institute. He was nominated to the council of the institute by the government of Mysore in place of T Ananda Rao on the latter’s retirement from the office of the Dewan.”
It was in 1914, Subbarayappa points out in his book, ‘In Pursuit of Excellence: A history of IISc’, that the Mysore government requested the institute’s applied chemistry department to conduct experiments on the manufacture of soaps using easily available oils. “Soon, a five tonne soap plant was ordered to be built with the intention of setting up a soap factory near the institute. Much of the soap procured in trial experimentation at the institute was sent by the Indian Red Cross Society to troops in Mesopotamia during the First World War operations,” observes Subbarayappa. In 1915, Visvesvaraya enabled the setting up of a pilot experimental sandalwood oil unit. He got two students to undergo training at IISc with scholarships to work as assistant chemists in the Government Sandalwood Oil Factory.
Visvesvaraya also introduced compulsory education in Mysore state, which later was embodied as a fundamental right in the Constitution of independent India. Visvesvaraya was responsible for other achievements like the Krishnarajasagara dam,
Bhadravati Iron and Steel Works, Mysore Sandal Oil Factory and the Mysore Soap Factory.
A vital contribution was the setting up of Mysore University. Visvesvaraya is believed to have asked: “If Australia and Canada can have universities of their own for less than a million population, cannot Mysore with a population of not less that 60 lakhs have a university of its own? Can we not have pub
lic libraries in Mysore and Bangalore? And can we not encourage girls to attend school?”
He also helped set up the Kannada Sahitya Parishath and Sri Jayachamarajendra Occupational Institute in Bangalore. When the birth centenary was celebrated at Lalbagh, the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru flew down to Bangalore by a special plane to honour “the greatest son of India”.

SIMPLE LIVING

He led a very simple life, was a strict vegetarian and a teetotaler. He would go to bed by 10pm and wake up at 6am. His light breakfast and lunch included two slices of bread or chappatis, vegetables without spices, rasam, curds and Nanjangud bananas. His honesty and integrity were legendary. Before accepting the position of Dewan of Mysore, he invited all his relatives for
dinner. He told them very clearly he would accept the prestigious office on the condition that none of them would approach him for favours.

Gone in 25 days...

Hello All once again after some gap,,

Blog is about our Venkata Subbramanyam Gajavalli alias "super Subbu"'s marriage.

cast:
Dhanaraj
Madhu
Partha
mahesh
mirza(mirchi)
myself

last but not least
subbaaaa

Guest appearance:
Adarsha :-) i will tell you why down the line....

It all started just 25 days back. i mean everything right from engagement to marriage sounds impossible right????
even i wonder how can this happen at such a faster pace... for me it is like "gone in 60 seconds".....

So it was 3rd Aug 2010 12 noon when i received a mail from dhana saying

"Titled: Success..."

"Sub:
Finally done.... to know more about this, wait till 2 O Clock.... :):):) "

I just ignored this mail thought some accomplishment in his project, but later came a news to have a sweets from his desk... So thought that there is something happening and i have to get into action, went to his desk found him in his regular business (his alltime and bigtime business Attending phone calls"

Brief flashback about him,, he is well known as "call centre" and his mode of service is both Voice and non-voice (i.e mobile & gmail sometimes mysingle also" He got nice punishment for this things when he was in korea onsite few months back he was called back from the tour(korea onsite) because he was retired hurt(broke down his wrist saw some severe pain)... also few days back he took a new bike within 4-5 days he had very minor accident because of which his left arm was fractured and tied bandage for more than 45 days,

(Snap shot of fractured Subba :-) )

Thank God he temporarily stopped Non-voice service and started going invisible in gtalk ;-).. dabba nan maga, i sometimes i spotted him chatting with single hand also... "astu illade helidara : nayi baala donku.. anta"

So coming back to Aug 3rd topic,, the news broke up when he finally hung up from his phone.
he said Today is my engagement.. i got schocked.. ur home town is around 700kms away from where you are standing right now, and how come you got engaged...
But the truth was engagement is going on in his hometown in absence of both the lead characters. Very strange...

And when i ask him abt his marriage, there was a big surprise for me. 27th Aug that means 25 days from now i will be a married guy..

what should i say is it Exiting/horrifying/ i dono, I dont have any words to explain this...

anyway this is subbu's personal thing, i cant say anything on this, i can only raise my eyebrows with my mouth open wish him Congrats....

2 weeks before:
Subbu travelled to Singapore for local trip on his expense for 2 days... i know those who really don't know really what happened it sounds really really weird and curious to know how the ___ can he go abroad.. cant he go after a week with his wife.. But it was all decided 2-3 months back where they booked a flight callled tiger airways which costs abt 15K both onward n return journey, and the major deal Free accommodation & food (ideally) and you just have to bare the transportation cost. thats how the trip was planned unfortunately his cunning manager did not allow him to go for a pre planned and pre informed tour of 1 week, he could just manage to see singapore in hurry-bury

See how simple is abroad trip, one has to learn from him, i always use to wonder seeing people at airport carrying a simple back pack with hardly few sets of clothes and travelling abroad... But subbu has done it..

So he is back from singapore and straight into office sitting and fixing issues with just couple of days left for marriage, when we asked him, "whats the urgency maga, marriage is on friday i will leave 1 day before marriage, and that is enough"..

meanwhile he booked the tickets for our journey..
I was schocked to see the tickets to see the price. 800 + 970 = around 1800Rs,
wow if we collect and pay the same money to him, he can as well purchase a fridge and stay cooool...
probably thats why our boys dint even bother to even think about the presentation Gift....
Luckily Our dhana tried and booked a train tatkal ticket which saved atleast 600/- per head..
we got only for return journey.... Big thanks to dhanaraj for saving my money...

27th aug Friday.

His marriage is going on at his place and we left here at night to attend his reception only on 28th afternoon..
Reception in afternoon!!!!!!!! i have heard it for first time... who cares, after all its subbus marriage at his home town. he gets to decide when it should be.

We left here at 7.30PM having light food at DRDO canteen except partha who boarded the bus at majestic itself and we at tin-factory.
When i told you Light food Dhanaraj is an exception and against this word. it should be always dark(i.e heavy) for him. So he had a hope that bus would stop in between for dinner.

But bad luck, bus did not stop at all. and when it stopped he dint wake up, it was 12.30Am and there was no food available apart from chips n biscuits only..

We had a food and madhu started crying from BTP back gate itself, do i need to walk till tin factory!!!!!! lets take an auto.. so dhana convinced him saying first we will have food then we will see. but by the time we had food it was late and bus left majestic.
So we dint think much and took a auto to tin factory, reached in 3-4 min.

So the journey went.. Early morning it was Exactly 6.Am and we were in ongole. so that was where we were suppose to get down and catch a local bus to vinukonda..
we all came out and partha noticed that there is a bur ready standing for us and it would leave on 6.45AM so we still had 45 min to spare. we were luclky enough to get a bus immediately otherwise we dont know how long we had to weight..

As soon as we got down we could feel the little humid climate of andhra.
"where the climate doesn't matter... but the hot air and sweat will always be with you"...w.r.t my past trip experience to Nandyal that too in summer...

So we got little freshen up and boarded the bus it took 3 hours to reach the destination.

I Enjoyed the journey as well as Dhanaraj with his camera... dabba nan maga.. (he took one more snap which was not good at all so i waited for good moment and deleted it. Thanks god that was the worst photo i can think :-P)

on the way to vinukonda, we got the nice view of village and crowded bus(which i had not seen frm past few years) totally country side..

We reached the place and called up subbu and he said something something like "nageshwara rao hotel". so we waited for some time and one guy came to us and told lets to hotel.. BTW he introduced himself as nageshwar rao.. :-)

Room was just some 100mtr frm bus stand we went by walk but there was one fellow who was telling lets take auto how to walk... so we went to room and had bath me mirza and partha were ready early whereas dhanaraj was forced to take bath at last due to his past records.
We dint had breakfast till now and it was already 11.30 am, thank god nageshwar rao came to room and asked if any one is ready to go to subu's house there is breakfast waiting for us, we dint wait much time and rushed to his home..

we crossed the other side of main road and took a small road which had small streets, one observation i found was all sites were around 20 X 50 sized sites, I didnot understand this logic, Are sites too costly or ppl dont want to live else where in town. Anyways Subbu gave us a warm welcome to us as soon as we entered house.. later we Had a nice breakfast which was must after a long journey.

Spent some time with him then later left to hotel back to get ready for Recieption which is suppose to start by 12PM..

By 12.30 nageshwar rao took us to the location in auto till choultry, meanwhile the only person who did not had break fast was dhanaraj.

we reached the hall and saw very few ppl, it seemed like subbu is arrangind this function only for us, but after few min we found out that everybody is having lunch upstairs :-), Anyway lets see how was the hall decorated.

It was not so big hall but good enough to accomodate 150 ppl atleast. there was a small stage where there was a wodden swinging chair.

And the rest of hall was fully filled with flowers, note all artificial pots flowers garlands etc. But still the ambience will look good when it comes in photos or video. :-) so thats the ultimate aim, its not just the problem here, but whole of india has such problem and it is inevitable.

Ok criticizm apart, Here enters Subbu with his wife to room,, we all rushed to see how is subbu looking..

Check out the smile in subbus face, its constant.....

And in between there is a commercial ad by our creative photographer .

So by this time almost half of ppl had their lunch and were just waiting to say bye to subbu. We also had stood in queue just 5 min before subbu arrived but when we saw him we backed up. but after taking some initial snaps of their entering hall we saw lot of their relatives waiting to wish him, so we decided that we will go to have lunch and later we will come to take picture...

It was a long queue eventually we had to wait for 2 round of ppl to finish having their lunch. finally we went inside hall and were standing before ppl who were having food, the scene was as if we wait in some piligrim place to have food, hoping we should some how get food in next round..
in this gap there was dhanaraj with his camera, so he decided to showcase come of his talent by taking some unusual pictures for his orkut album, but none of the picture was up the the mark...

Introducing our Art photographer...
Mr.Dhanarajappa

Sorry some technical difficulty..

Here comes

We had a tight lunch session and left to the hall.

Here onwards it was a plane & casual photo session

It was around 3 PM when we came back to our hotel room, every one was very lazy to go out because of sun light and humidity outside.. So we some how managed to push forward till 7PM by playing UNO cards game in and watch some telugu movie in hotel..
At 7 we went to Subbu's home as he told us to meet him there, We went to his place by that time some of his other friends were also standing in corridor of his home and were chatting with him, we joined the group lately, As we were near family the discussion was not as naughty as it was suppose to be ;-) so we couldnt talk much, One disappointment was Subbu did not invite any one inside doors and he gave send off to all of us.. Thats fine as their relatives were all sitting in living room.

We headed back to Hotel and packed our luggage and left to have our dinner on the way and to railway station. our train was at around 10.30...

Sorry i did not write anything about Mirza Mahesh & Madhu.. As i am finishing the long pending blog, as i started just a week after his marriage, but i could complete now. I can only write was we all enjoyed nicely playing UNO apart from that i forgot everything.. :-(

Forgot to tell about our guest Adarsha.. He was suppose to come attend this marriage at any cost and the tickets were booked against him. But Due to loose bottom and low temperature in his body and mainly he was travelling to Dubai next day so he pulled back at last moment..

All in all... I can say that this trip was more of travelling and less of entertainment, It was not up to the expectation.
I cannot compare this trip to nandyal which was even more hot and more of travelling too, but the entertainment part was too much where we traveeled to Mahanandi with some swimming, Ahobilam with some treckking, and while return joueney it was more of travelling in rain when we lost some route. but that was Fun. Thanks to Partha for such a nice arrangement...

About maneesha

Finally My dear friend maneesh(aka Maneesha) is leaving all of us and going abroad for his higher education,, i wish him all the best for his future..

I met him first when he joined siso just after 10-15 days i joined.. but became close friends when i was in Korea and he was in Turkey....

So here i describe him with my style in categories....

Internationalism:
  • He is more of hollywood than sandlewood..
  • More of New york times than Times of India (like he knows what barrack obama eats for break fast, but dono why reddy brothers are battling in bellary)
  • Reads many novels ( read books of Jeffrey archer and Sydney sheldon but dono who is D.V.G and dont know a single poem kuvempu has written though they might have told in school prayers)
  • I call him a mobile oxford dictionary.( he has meanings or synonyms of all english words atleast which i have asked him in cubicle, but dono the meaning of "pataragitti/pancharangi" simple kannada word)
  • Knows how to use Debit cards at ATM but dono the concept of credit cards till now, what kind of charges they put and why?

Very innocent and decent

in some aspect this point holds good only till he met Partha(his driver to SISO & double meaning expert, )...

Quick intro about partha: He has the potential of delivering a double meaning statements at any given point of time & in between any conversation...
Just before his wife was expecting a baby he promissed not to eat non-veg, but just few days later he stated..
soon after her daughter was born he use to tell he would never see / talk wrong about girls which he sees daily outside... but dono what happend after 1 week or two. he was back in form :-P
Now he says when i chat him to korea,, "en maga hudgiru hingidare illi????
thats the kind of person he is.... But everyone liks the way he is...
He and maneesh would make a gooooood pair. (i dont want to elaborate more on this sentance)..

Like
  • Now he know how to give a glance at most of the chicks walking on the footpath (towards MCC) even while you are driving at 40-50KMPH @ 7.30 AM in morning ... and thats the efficiency he has gained being with partha
  • After seeing at some girl if i comment saying, that girl is not good looking, he simply says,, look at the things needed. and thats how his expectations are.
  • for this i dont get english words adjust. kalla ondu hudgina line hodita idda who gets use to alight at malleshwaram, (A prod of BITS and loook wise OK good). one day he comes in office and says, today i saw that girl was staring at her mobile for long time in cab, I think she would hav been reading some pdf formatted novel.. dabba nan maga, avlu tirgi nodilla anta bejar madkonda ansatte ;-)
  • He still dint know any abusive language in kannada at all till he joined us mainly with partha...
  • he knows what "Bitti ____ sikkidre, ______"
now i will leave partha, May his soul rest in peace. (dont take it other way)

Next category:

about his decentism and idiotism:
  • He is a fond child of his parents. both working in banks. And this idiot dont know how to get a D.D (somberi nan maga)
  • Dont know 90% vegetable names . in kannada especially i can say 99%. But now he know how to coook Chitranna and what ingredients he has to put. (hange aagbeku ninge)
  • Knew how to ride 800 before he joined siso itself, but dint know kinetic honda (2 wheeler) he learnt it so late in his life, and till the last day when i use to go with him to home, i use to drive.
  • looks like he knows tennis very well, but me never seen him playing really, but he has waved his hand (for ball serve) in air million times in these 2 yrs... (thut ninna kai novu barta irlillwa.. ( olle CRPF police navru galiyalli gundu hodidange, galiyalli serve madta idde))
  • I have never seein him stand still naturally in any photo.. always says, i have to b natural and gives some poses
Now next category Stingism:

  • According to him "you should never climb stairs by running, because you may sweat a lot, " which implicitly means you cant wear T-shirt next day :-P (parvagilla maneesha i will follow you)
  • when he was in turkey he use to live with bread / jam / chocolates... (courtesy: adarsha).... ( magane hinge maadu U.S nalli, ondu hudgi patayisoke agalla yake andre neene badkirodilla)

Now coming to some good thing about him at last..........

some of the qualities i like most in him

  • Very keen learner
  • Quick learner,,, (maga carrom nan hatra ne kaltu, nange solis bitta)
  • wants to learn out of domain things also,, always open to learning,, ( nan thara antu alla, life nalli java andre kaliyode illa anta kootidini, adakkoskara android ne bittu bitidini,,, iga estondu jana force bere madtavre)
  • Good photographer even with his digital camera... ( maga nan sony 3500mh cells himalayage tagondu hogi kaalu ettisbitta 900 rupayi hoytu)
  • Good traveller, and has seen so many places in india already..(paapa adarshan inda greece nodoke aagilla anta onde kannalli alta idda turkey nalli)
  • Very kind hearted fellow, never likes to say NO to some one..
  • Always helping to others..
  • Always jovial..
  • Punctual, (respect to seniors by sending them daily status updates thou he dint had any work that day...) ;-).
  • He can adjust with any group... and takes no time..
Atleast maneesha i think you will be happy to see last category is speaking good about you...
Hope you dont scold me.... I have taken so much pain( infact i enjoyed typing such a big article @ 1AM on 6th-Aug-2010 sitting in office and delaying the cab by 1 hr to complete this..)

For now i think it is enough....

If i sit and think i can find many categories like this, but i dont want to see him angry while reading this or embarrased while sharing this link...

And for maneesha and others...
all the things that i have tried to speak is just based on how much i have seen him and know him, being his cubicle mate for a long long duration..
i think i will never be with any person for so long time in any given company.... (conditions apply unless she is good looking girl) dont mistake me after alll...

I will read this article some time again and try to tweak it...

And by the way the let me introduce all the characters whom i spoke about here with some funny but memorable moments:

i became die hard fan of the farmville game 1/2 mths back when we all use to sit without work, so i made maneesha to open a facebook a/c and made him to play game, but he some how dint find interesting in it.. so anyway that doesnt bother me,, i made similar bakras like him to play farmville just for me (free gifts)... so i use to go to their pc and stand behind them asking to send gifts.. and at some point of time i saved his facebook pwd in browser so that i use to login his pc whenever he goes away and send gifts to me... ) it was so much fun...
he still wonders that i still play that idiotic game, though i also know its dumb game and big time waste....

and look at his helmet.. i think its same helmet which kareena uses in 3-idiots movie.... i enjoyd wearing it and riding to house along with him many times...

Sukale's Marriage.. A trip to & around Belgaum

Sukale Alias Huli's marriage was on Tuesday and wednesday a Odd day to attend any marriage function that too 600+ kms away from Bengaluru. But still manju alias Manzu(thats me ;-) and Kishora alias Kiddu were all set to attend. we had planned well ahead and applied leave almost 1.5 mths back and booked tickets.. For me it was an exiting trip as i had never been to our North karnataka so far in my life. lets see some background hurdles i had just before leaving .

it is Monday... my train is booked at 9.10PM sholapur Exp YPR-BDM(badami)...
we had planned to see some places around we had in mind 1. badami, aihole pattadkal, almatti, koodalsangama.....

5.30PM in office i am still looking into one silly issue, somehow i took help of my senior expert he fixed in 10 min, whereas i was seeing since 5hrs. ;-) thank god for him uploaded fix and somehow i managed to leave off by 7.. reached home by 8 and as railway stn is near my house it wont take 10 min to catch train frm my home so i was bit confident on my schedule.. had bhelpuri on the way and entered the station , same time kishora also arrived..
20 min before departure, checked the train Platform it was already standing on #2, and as usual indian style when we entered the bogie our seats occupied by some aunty and ajji, there were discussing some serious family story, so thought of not disturbing them and i came out holding my bhelpuri cover, whereas kiddu was sitting inside train only(guess why?? as he had Nikon D40 in his bag) he is so lazy that he cant lift and bring out also.. anyway even i dint wanted him to come out otherwise i had to share my bhelpuri.. hahhaa... (dnt mistake kishora i knw tht u wd hav had dinner @ home itself... Its 9.10 there is no sign of train leaving still as per the rules of IST(ind streachable time) train left 10 more min late, but i consider this as on time itself, bcz lng lng ago when we went to shimoga trip our train came 3-4 hrs late,, 10PM train we boarded @ 2Am..

coming back
As usual kishora started discussing about his team mgr not sending to US(he is telling this since ages) and pinky's LWD was on last week, he pointed out her and said: See how many times my mgr sent her US but wht she did even i will do it . but i know kishora u cant do it till you get onsite once.. ;-) and started story about his so called friend who is girl,,, and he says as GF.. anyway its his personal matter.... started her story she was lik that lik this,, n once we had fight, n she called me to abu-dhabi, now a days she is not chatting wid me blah blah... after half an hour i think we slept early before tumkur itself thanks to aunties...

Tue morning 6.Am: i got up lazily saw through the window . were in Dharwad stn, there was lot of noise as ppl were getting down frm our train ,, i closed window and sept again, within few mins kishora started to wake me up. we were in hubli already i scolded him and tried to sleep again.. I had very good sleep,, after som time we reached Gadag where train stopped for long time, later we realised that the moving direction changed train is going back... i thought of brushing teeth and asked kishora for toothpaste, as a co-incidende both were confident that other fellow will bring, so ultimately there was no toothpaste to brush, so we had to wait till we get down stn.. meanwhile i enquired one guy abt the places to see around badami and reach belgaum, he suggested to see badami, aihole pattadkal mahakoota shivasangama banashankari..

stepped in badami station took 1 paste and decided to paste once we reach first destination as in stn there was no water at all..... As stn is in outskirts of badami we took one auto 5rs each and reached inside badami, inquired with riksha guy for auto he told u can see only 4 places and come back to this place to catch belgaum and he wil charge 500rs, we thiught it was lil costly so we thought we will see only what is nearby and took a walk to main basti which is just 2km away.. the place is very ancient and very small house, looks like our tourism dept has not taken any steps to improve the place for its neatness at all, though we could see the hill of caves from the place we were standing we had to walk 2 kms round, and the way seemd to me like i was walking in some village towards place where we carry on our morning duties,,,,, overall the roads were good but no cleanliness.. somehow we reached the place, i was shocked to see the view as the main place around the caves/mountain. It is very neatly maintained it is entirely contrasting view till had... they had maintained with nice lawn made gardens,.

All in all Badami showcases four ancient rock-cut cave temples, the largest of them dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

took 2 tickets and climbed to see , there were 4 cave temples. for details abt these temple google ;-) But one thing i noticed was all temples shiva ling as the god inside except the one at last thich was mahaveer's temple, and in some of the temples there was no main idol at all.. 2 possibilities.. either it is looted if it was metal one or it is taken inside museum which was on opposite mountain to where we were standing just 0.5 km apart.. and as usual took some snaps in front of it. meanwhile i had washed my face only so that it will not be seen in photos tht i m going to take.. hahaha as we could see there was a big lake separating both mountains, and ppl living around it are washing clothes in it. we decided instead of going back straight we will visit the museum too and may be we will get some water to wash face, so we enquired one lady and she guided us to reach there.. finally we reached there, we brished and washed our face then we went inside museum and we left the place... we left towards Badami main bustand, we had to cross the small streets inside.. it was totally a mesmarising that "IS THIS THE SAME CAPITAL CITY OF Chalukyas RULED THE DYNASTY..??!!!!!!!!" i mean i just cant understand the logic here.. and why is our state dept not at all showing intereset in such places which potrays our heritage... Anyway there are lot of things to blame in india, but whatever it is "Oh Darling E-hai India"... We reached Bus stand enquired how to reach Pattadkal which is 20 kms away, took a tempo traveller and paid him 12 each and reached there in some 30 mins.. It was so hot (luckily the humidity is not much in karnataka as compared to neighbouring states) the bus stopped right in front of the temple and we hardly had to walk for 300 mts to take main entrance.. it was around 10.30 and we did not had Break fast still, so we decided to see the temple first as it was small campus and then we will come out and have it, later it will be ideal time to have lunch at 4PM... I enquird a boy as how much time we need to see this and wher do we get bus to Aihole and where do we get food and all... took an entrance tickt of 10rs and entered the campus, again as un-usual the campus is maintained so neatly fully with full Lawn etc which is contrasting to the pattadkal taluk(which was one of the main city of the kingdom..) anyway we watched all the ruined temples some were in good shape and rest not so good.. one common thing we found was all the heads of Nandi was chopped off and in all temples only shiv-linga was the only god here.. But there was one surprise for us when we were about to enter the last temple Virupaksha temple, both the temple from inside and the nandi sculpture outside is totally un-touched it is still so sharp and shining which looks as if it is brand new.... Hats off to the architecturer and thank god to invaders who left atleast this one for us All in all Pattadakal is a World Heritage Site, which stands testimony to the richness of Chalukya kings....

There was a surprise waiting behind the back gate (i.e behind this nandi in pic.) just 100mts from here there was a river (malaprabha) flowing, full of water so all plans delayed by half an hour, we Quickly went inside the temple and had darshan of viroopaksha swami and rushed towards the river water was clean so we jumped in no time... after some play, we came out of temple and had north karnataka style lunch then left for Aihole..

Hired one auto for 40 rs to reach Aihole which is 13kms away, it takes 20 min journey..
The auto driver was explaining few things about the aihole , this is the place i think which was used for teaching the store art/ building temples, as there are so many temples, even now its no wonder that people live in temples also.

The names of the temples are based on recent usage, and do not reflect their original dedications.

Auto driver described aihole like "ಗುಡಿಗಳ ಊರು, ಗುಡಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಮನೆ" .. city of temples & house in temple...

We saw the Aihole within half an hour and left towards Badami back, Here we faced problem with the transportation service.. while coming we some how managed to get the auto by paying more, and we told him to stay for half-one hour so that we will come in his auto itself, but when we came out and saw he was not there, so we waited there for abt half hour there was not even a single auto towards badami, and the public transport bus comes only twice a day.

forgot to mention, when we entered the aihole temple campus some ppl thought me as photographer and asked me the rate per copy as i was holding kishora's SLR camera, i ignored them when they asked me second time i scolded them...actually they were tourist from other state, this incident happened twice with different ppl, in same group.

Why i told this story was, when we were waiting for bus there was only 1 bus and it was the same tourist bus with whom i behaved like that.. So we were forced to ask the bus driver and somehow managed to convince him and agreed on paying him 15rs per head to Pattadkal...

Some how we reached pattadkal and from there we got the tempo to badami.. Now the only place left according to our plan was Banashankari temple. we took immediately one auto after reaching to badami to the temple which is just 5 kms and he charged 5 rs per head.. it was 4PM.

Visited the temple and came back by 5 PM to badami main bus stand, and the bus to bagalkot was waiting o leave we boarded it, and reached there by 6.30 to catch our next bus to Belgaum..
according to the information we got there were so many bus, but when we reached there it was different scene. we have to wait for more than 45 min... some how we took some items to eat and bus came then we got into.. Belgaum was 140 KMS with 5 hour journey @192rs.

Finally we reached Belgaum with lot of hopes, that we will enjoy for next day atleast and we can take rest in hotel room which sukale has booked, we will go to him and speak for some time and then we will leave to hotel. this was the actual plan.Till now everything was moving according to my plan.

Actually this is the turning point of our trip i guess.. everything bounced back to us since now on, nothing was happening according to our plan.... As soon as we reached the place we called sukale and he sent his marriage vehicle for us..

As we reached the wedding hall Mr Huliraya / sukale is sitting on stage all set to get wet in turmeric... there was some background music going on by one of his family elder grand mother...
Sukale waved his hands sitting on stage itself, he was as much thrilled as we were after seeing him...

this prog went on for about 1 hr or so, later they made both the couples to come out for having hot showers by their close relatives, they do it in a closed box k
ind of thing where in the line of control would be of thread of 7/9 rounds something like that. here after pouring some water they give them new make them wear new dress outside itself and they had put a topi which is of north karnataka style, nation wide you can call it as freedom fighters dress(lal bahudur shastri's topi and kurta pajama) and the girl would wear yellow coloured saree...

So this was the end of their today;s programme and it all ended with one last photo on stage..

It was exactly 12.30Am when sukale came to us we all 3 of us started discussing about todays travel and some office stuffs, and blah blah..

till 1am we spoke some nonsense stuffs which would yield nothihng to both of us, meanwhile we were in mindset that we would be going to some lodge from here so that we need not worry about our rest, and we can come lil late tomorow..

but then sukale suddenly came of with a surprise for us, "Hey guys please adjust here itself in choultry i couldn't arrange any rooms as i came so late to belgaum" we were like stunned for few minutes, and then the sukale's sala came up with one big bedspread and put in front of us, so we thought this guy is arranging these things instead of lodge... we were lil confused as wht is happening so after some small discussion he picked that and went to his room and we were totally stunned there.(so this was the initial shock and we lost our 2 hopes here).

thanks that we travelled by train so we carried some bedspreads for us, we used that to manage somehow for tonight as it is only 5-6 hrs left for morning.slept off immediately cursing pradeep for making us to sleep in choultry itself, atleast if he had said that there is no arrangement done we would have arranged some room @ busstand itself where we wasted almost 45min waiting for his cab...

Morning it was 6am taperecorder started playing and everybody who slept next to us were not there, they had already left frm there,, we slowly got up and we were sitting for a while one guy came and took off the sheet below us, so we only had effectively 5+ hrs of sleep.

and we put all our luggage on the chair which is in in the image, and till we leave the place we have managed to keep our luggage on chairs itself only for some 5-10 mins we kept in sukale's room which was getting locked every now and then due to security reasons which was very obvious....

So though we got up so early pradeepa came in frustrating mood saying that there is only one/2 toilets with 2 bathrooms available and there is such a big queue for it. somehow he was suppose to be ready as early as possible and so he from somewhere got the facility arranged apart from these common places. but for us it was till 9am we were like idiots waiting by then some people were already having breakfast, meanwhile i managed brush my teeth and had breakfast there itself.. but at that time the crowd was less so i ran up to have bath but later i came to know why the crowd was less, NO WATER... :-( we were hopelessly left there witho no option to just change dress and go and attend marriage..

so everything here was going not according to plan at all, we went to marriage hall with our luggage kept in one corner..

somehow marriage was over happily.. where the girls mom was crying sitting in front of us.. while doing kanyadaan. .

and after some time sukale finally the couple were standing on stage.
i dont know what happened to those photographer idiot when we went there he didn't even captured the video and took his camera outside, we were busy wishing sukale, i turned to main stage, he was carelessly sitting, so we gave him our camera itself to capture our snaps...

we had lunch and it was 2pm atlast its time to say bye bye to sukale, and leave the place

After we leave the place, we left straight to VTU,,, my god what a campus it was,, i never thought that far away from city such a campus could exist with such a good maintainance,,,,
some of the pics i have taken with out notice of security personals..

And we spent 1 hour seeing the campus, then left back to railway station. it was around 6PM when we were suppose to board the rani-chennamma express, asu usual the trains in india wont arrive on time, it was 1 hour late.....

and that marked the end of our journey to Belgaum and Pradeep Sukale's marriage...

Happy married life dude, may life is filled with joy and full of happiness....
